We are seeking a dedicated, experienced Permanent Elder Law Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team.
This role is an excellent opportunity for a professional with a deep understanding of elder law, elder abuse defense, and elderly care.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in the field and will be responsible for providing comprehensive support to our attorneys, conducting legal research, and interacting with our clients.
This role requires a high level of discretion, strong communication skills, and a passion for advocating for the rights of the elderly.
Responsibilities:
1.
Provide comprehensive legal support to attorneys, including drafting legal documents, conducting research, and preparing case files.
2.
Conduct client interviews and maintain direct contact with clients, while observing strict confidentiality.
3.
Assist in the preparation and filing of all court documents and have knowledge of electronic court filings and litigation procedures.
4.
Conduct comprehensive legal research on relevant laws, regulations, and legal articles.
5.
Maintain an organized case management system to effectively handle case documents, correspondence, and pleadings.
6.
Assist in the preparation of wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other related documents.
7.
Coordinate and attend client meetings, depositions, and court appearances.
8.
Collaborate with the legal team in preparing for trials and hearings.
9.
Stay updated with changes in elder law and regulations to provide accurate advice to clients and attorneys.
Qualifications:
1.
Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field.
A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
2.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal in elder law.
3.
Comprehensive knowledge of elder law, elder abuse defense, and elderly care.
4.
Proficiency in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
5.
Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and legal professionals.
6.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
7.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
8.
Strong understanding of legal terminology and court procedures.
9.
Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality.
10.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
11.
Paralegal certification from an accredited program is preferred.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
