Career Path High is seeking a Success Coach to monitor the academic progress and success of our students. This individual will be responsible for student outreach for the purpose of motivating students to engage in their curriculum and communicate regularly with their teachers in order to ensure students stay on pace for successful course completion.
Career Path High (careerpathhigh.org) is a non-profit charter high school that is reinventing secondary education. We are a cutting-edge, blended learning flex model that has integrated innovative technology and best-in-class education strategies to provide each student with a personalized education plan and a direct pathway to college and career.
Students are located on the Davis Applied Technology College (DATC) campus and simultaneously immersed in a high school track while experiencing a college environment. Through an optimal blend of virtual instruction and hands-on mentored training, our students are receiving a world-class education that prepares them to be strong leaders and contributing citizens.
The Career Path High model is based on the commitment that every student will graduate with a high school diploma and a pathway to a career through technical certification and/or college. The goal is 100% student placement either in the workforce, an institution of higher education, or continuation in an Applied Technology College program.
We are seeking an individual with the following skills:
Strong communication skills
Organization and time management skills essential
Ability to interpret data to drive student outreach
Leadership skills
Technology skills
Responsibilities include:
Monitoring the academic progress of students
Academic interventions
Analyzing data to categorize student intervention needs
Outreach and contact to all students
Direct communication to parents
Develop and implement strategies to motivate and incentivize student engagement
Develop and implement methods for recognizing student success
Learning Center Facilitator - ensure students in the Learning Center are engaging with teachers based on course progress and academic performance
Schedule and coordinate face-to-face meetings for teachers
Work collaboratively with faculty and staff on targeted student interventions
Report intervention outcomes to teachers
Relevant job experience for required skills and responsibilities desired
Hours: Monday through Thursday, 9am-3pm
Salary Range: $15 to $20 hourly based on experience
